Each person should have a good day |
The Friendship Circle Adult Day Health Center offers supportive services to the frail, elderly, and handicapped adult residents of the area surrounding the center. The program provides supervised activities in a safe, cheerful, and stimulating environment, while providing health related services. Activities are offered in a congregate program, based on a medical model with a social back-up. The Avon center is a Social model due to the lack of shower facilities on the site. An additional value is respite for the family or professional caregiver. The ultimate purpose of the program is to prevent or delay institutionalization by offering a wide range of services tailored to the individual needs of the participant. The overall goal is to maintain the clients’ functional level, and that each person should have a good day.
